10 Ways to Protect Your Business from a Bad Web Host
A reliable web host constantly maintains your site (accessible to customers) with minimal downtime; A bad web host, on the other hand, can hurt your success by knocking over traffic, not to mention your SEO ranking.
As a smart business owner, you should know that even the best of the hosting providers can turn into bad hosts (or worse – out of business and “disappear”) one day.

1. Register your domain on the other hand
Many hosting companies now offer free domain registration when they buy a hosting package. However, it may be wise to spend an extra $ 10- $ 15 and register a primary domain with another registrar .
I usually use a free domain for my secondary sites that I use to test my host or SEO experiments. Thus, if a domain is tied to this hosting company, and I want to switch, I have not lost innumerable hours on the website for which I created traffic.
It is much easier to move to a new hosting company when you register your domain with the other party. Otherwise, you will have to wait until your hosting company issues your domain. This can be complicated, as they also lose your hosting.
If you have already registered your domain with your hosting company, do not panic. You can still transfer it to a third-party registrar.

2. Be careful with your payment method.
While it is convenient to arrange an automatic payment plan with your hosting company, this can also cause a nightmare when you want to cancel.

2- Credit Card

However, carefully review your credit card policy before providing information to the web host. In some extreme cases, you may need to cancel your account in order to stop payments.
3- Debit Card
An unethical company may continue to charge your account (for example, my business back to 13-14 years ago), or you may incur fees when trying to stop a payment. If you pay with a debit card, it is easier to replace it if something bad happens; you will not be charged (just withdraw all the money from your debit account) if the hosting company charges additionally after you cancel your account.
3. Stick to a hosting provider with a long trial period
Warranties are a signal that you can trust this company to more than one, which is not behind its maintenance. A long trial period shows that the hosting company is confident in the quality of the service they can offer.

Web hosting providers should offer at least a month, but there are some that offer an even longer trial period.

Some companies offer a “money back guarantee at any time” – this means that you can cancel your hosting account and request a refund at any time during the subscription. Suppose you pay for a year of service, but after 90 days you are really unhappy with the quality of the hosting company. With a guarantee at any time and back you can request a refund and cancel the remainder of the time in your account.

4. Avoid companies with blacklisted IP addresses.
There are many reasons to avoid blacklisted IP addresses, including the reputation of the hosting company and, more importantly, so your emails sent from your domain are not blocked by other providers because of the IP address. Blacklist means that your email can also be blacklisted.

Suppose you are working in a cPanel environment, go to the host control panel, and then enter the following command in the Cron command field:

Replace variable fields with information related to your database and users, then write yourself a database to make room for storage, which will require saving the file in your real system. Extract the zip file, then change the details of the database before saving the file and uploading it to your server.
The last step is to enter “php -q /path-to-the-php-script-folder/backup.php” in the Cron cPanel task section.
7. Regularly monitor the time and speed of hosting
Waiting time is the time during which your website is up and running, accessible to visitors and potential customers.
